well, i didn't make the pencil lines design team. :( bummer. anyway, here is my latest she art girl. this is one of my favorites. hope you like it. it's been a rough couple of days and i don't feel like saying too much. so i will just share my art.

2nd she art girl...

here is my second and third she art girls. i am in LOVE with this mixed media work! it is so much fun! i have so many more ideas in my head that i am having a hard time staying on one task at a time. lol! i plan to do a whole series of these she art girls so beware! i will be sharing them all. in the second one (she love with her whole heart), i used some blending fibers and garnet gel mediums by golden for the background. the texture is really thick and i am not sure you can quite see that with the photos. this presented a challenge because once i started adding my girl, she didn't lay flat and i didn't like how she was "floating" on top. so i took that girl off completely and added another. once i started gluing her down, i really pressed the paper into the background so that she would become part of the canvas instead of looking like an afterthought. i think i mananged to pull it off. what do yo think?

don't you just love that name? hee hee. last night i FINALLY got to start my she art girl! this was so flippin' fun! i just LOVE mixed media art. it is so free. you get to use so many different techniques and i just love all of the layers. i can't wait for my canvases that i ordered to arrive so i can do more, but of course that won't stop me since i created this one using canvas paper. tell me what you think. :)
